CG Post Matric Scholarship 2026 : The online registration, application, verification, approval, and scholarship disbursement process under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for the 2026–27 academic session has commenced for students belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC). The department has also released detailed guidelines and the official schedule for the scholarship process.

The Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development, Chhattisgarh has informed eligible SC, ST, and OBC students that the renewal application portal for the Post Matric Scholarship 2026–27 has been open since 20 June 2026. Students can submit their renewal applications online through the departmental portal at https://schoolscholarship.cg.nic.in/ until 30 August 2026. The portal for fresh applications will open on 1 August 2026.

All government and non-government colleges, universities, engineering colleges, medical colleges, and nursing colleges operating in the district, under the Department of Tribal and Scheduled Caste Development, Raipur, Principals/Institution Heads of ITIs, Polytechnics, etc., Scholarship In-charges, and the Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and Backward Classes students studying therein who are eligible for the Post-Matric Scholarship administered by the Department, For the 2026-27 academic session, the registration, approval, and disbursement of the online Post-Matric Scholarship (for classes 12th and above) can be completed online at https://postmatric-scholarship.cg.nic.in/.

According to information received from the Assistant Commissioner, Tribal Development Department, the scholarship portal for the year 2026-27 will be launched on June 20, 2026, for the renewal of students’ scholarship applications and on August 01, 2026, for new applications, with the process running until December 30, 2026. All processing and approval of received renewal and new applications should be completed by the approving officer within the prescribed timeframe and before the distribution date, so that the competent authority can finalize the entire distribution and payment of scholarships by January 2027. For scholarships, the income ceiling for parents of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students is Rs. ₹2.50 lakh per annum; for Other Backward Classes, the income limit is ₹1 lakh per annum; a permanent caste certificate issued by the competent authority, a native certificate of the State of Chhattisgarh, and the student’s examination results from the previous academic year will be required. CG Post Matric Scholarship

Eligibility Criteria for Chhattisgarh Post Matric Scholarship 2026–27

  • Students belonging to the Economically Backward Class (EBC), whose annual family income from all sources does not exceed ₹1,00,000, are eligible to apply online for the Post Matric Scholarship.
  • Students belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Other Backward Class (OBC) categories are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Applicants must be permanent residents of the state of Chhattisgarh.
  • Under the Chhattisgarh Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, students who have secured at least 50% marks in their most recent qualifying examination are eligible to receive the scholarship.
  • The applicant must be studying in Class 11 or Class 12, or enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, medical, or engineering courses at a recognized educational institution.

  • Documents Required for Scholarship Application
  • The scholarship application must include the following documents:
  • (a) One copy of the scholarship application in the prescribed format. Separate application forms are prescribed by the respective State Governments/Union Territories for fresh and renewal scholarship applications.
  • (b) One recent passport-size photograph of the student, duly signed by the applicant (required for fresh scholarship applications).
  • (c) One attested copy of all relevant certificates, diplomas, degrees, mark sheets, or certificates of the examinations passed by the applicant.
  • (d) An income declaration from the parent(s) or guardian(s):
  • In the case of self-employed parents/guardians, an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper declaring the annual family income from all sources.
  • In the case of employed parents/guardians, an income certificate issued by the employer is required. If there is any additional income from other sources, it must be declared through an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper.
  • (e) Proof of permanent residence (Domicile Certificate).
  • (i) If the applicant received a scholarship under this scheme in the previous academic year, an acknowledgment receipt of the scholarship, duly countersigned by the Head of the concerned institution in the prescribed format, must be attached with the application.
  • (ii) The State Department shall ensure that the applicant belongs to the concerned minority community before processing the scholarship application.
  • (iii) The completed application form, along with all the required documents, must be submitted to the Head of the institution where the applicant is currently studying or last studied. The application should be addressed to the authority designated for this purpose by the concerned State Government or Union Territory, in accordance with the instructions issued by the respective government from time to time.
